On Friday I visited the Bridgette Mayer Gallery and the exhibition of Federico Herrero blew me away!!! His sense for color is amazing! In 2001 he won the award for best young artist at the Venice Biennale and he was 23 at that time. I'm so glad that I saw this exhibition!!!!

ReplyDeletethere's something about the way he structures a painting that is really free, funny, and somehow both simple and complicated at the same time. he plays with gravity and space in interesting ways too. An interesting artist and good person for you to be looking at.
